I have had my Wearever Allegro pot for about 8 years, and they are just right for my needs. Their non-stick coating is incredible and the pots are dishwasher safe. I wanted pots that I did not have to worry about, no matter who cleaned them or cooked with them, and these fit the bill perfectly. The lids are a godsend for storage - they are flat! You can stack the pots with the lids on them! THey also have vents, which are also excellent for draining; I rarely need a colander.
Unfortunately these are no longer available, and after 8 years, I am starting to need replacements, especially for the large skillet. I took my husband 8 years to figure out how to damage the coating, and while the pan is still good, it's end of life is near.
There were a great and more affordable alternative to Scanpan - and the lids are more storage friendly. I am sad I can't find any more.
