I bought this set over a year ago, 12/2007. I have been using these pots & pans every day since then and love them, especially the Dutch oven and saute pans. Since I started using them, I've made some of the best sauces, soups, and stews EVER. I'm NEVER disappointed with their performance.
Although they are non-stick, which makes clean-up a breeze, there is enough surface texture to create "fond"--those little bits of browned food left over in the bottom of the pan after browning, which are a key ingredient in making delicious sauces.
The only drawback is that you have to hand-wash them and shouldn't use them over high heat. However, I think that's a fair trade-off for the great meals I've cooked in them.
I absolutely recommend this cookware. Just treat it with care.
01/23/11: Made mistake of frequently putting Dutch oven in fridge to briefly store food cooked in it. This is the only piece of the set that started flaking, so I tossed it. Still using all the other pieces and happy with them.
